The University of British Columbia in beautiful Vancouver hosted this year’s Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences. As always, the seven days were filled with lectures, such as the Big Thinking series, book launches, poetry readings, and other special events.
UAlberta Press had a booth at the Book Fair and we—Douglas Hildebrand, Mat Buntin, Cathie Crooks, and Monika Igali—had a chance to visit with some of our authors and converse with the many scholars who browsed our book display. As always, it was a stimulating and intellectually vigorous week!
A special thank you goes out to our student assistant, who was eager to learn and ready to help.
